Gracie came to us in February 2018 from a foster family environment in Texas. The foster family did a wonderful job in socializing Gracie. We were told she basically had no social skills upon her arrival. Now, the baton has been passed on to us. Gracie is now undergoing a 4 week training camp. Upon arrival here, she was good with another rescue, Annalise, but would bark and lunge at the kennel gate separating the dog area into the rescue office when other dogs would pass by. It appeared to us, although sweet to humans and not aggressive, she just did not know how to interact with dogs in a group environment. No basic training was evident. Now she is doing great, improving with every class and will soon be ready to come back to us. We believe she will still need some training upon her arrival. We are hoping that Gracie will be ready for adoption by May. If you think you might be able to help Gracie on her journey to becoming the best companion we know she can be, please call and set up a “MEET and GREET” to meet this wonderful little girl.
Gracie has been adopted!
